Factory-Applied Metal Coatiings

  1. Include the paragraphs on the following pages in your project specifications to specify hot-dip galvanizing and/or factory-applied metal coatings for your project.  Typically these paragraphs would be inserted in the appropriate specification section, such as Section 02800 - Site Improvements (32 00 00 Exterior Improvements - MASTERFORMAT 2004), Section 05500 - Metal Fabrications (05 50 00 Metal Fabrications - MASTERFORMAT 2004) or Section 05120 - Structural Steel (05 12 00 Structural Steel Framing - MASTERFORMAT 2004)
  2. For complex projects, use Section 05080 (05 05 13 - MASTERFORMAT 2004)- Shop Applied Coatings for Metal.
