City of Everett Trash Containers

Everett, MA

The City of Everett, Massachusetts had made efforts aimed at improving the conditions of its downtown shopping area. The trash receptacles had been rusting and peeling in a highly visible area for years and had become an eyesore.

The city chose to hot-dip galvanize and powdercoat the receptacles to combat the problems with corrosion that exist in the environment. Over 1.5 tons of steel were hot-dip galvanized, including the approximately twenty trash receptacles located throughout Everett. The result is nicely decorated receptacles that will be corrosion-free for decades to come.

Duncan has been located in Everett since 1890 and has had a “good neighbor” policy since then.  The galvanizing was offered to the City “pro bono.”
