Residential Relief Sculptures

The artist behind these pieces had previous experience with hot-dip galvanizing and the Colorgalv system, and felt it would be the best aesthetic choice for this project, located in a Central Connecticut private residence.

Featuring intricate designs of feast and study scenes, the galvanizing process had to be expertly executed so as not to hide the delicate details of the relief. These sculptures will identify the function of each major room in the home when they are set in a niche created specifically to house them. They will be illuminated by fiber optics and set directly above a huge slab of Indiana limestone. By using the Colorgalv process, the artist was able to achieve the intended look and color, which will last for generations.
